# When (date/time) will a scheduled Gift Card be delivered?

One of the features that make Govalo gift cards great is that they can be scheduled to be delivered on a future date.

**Here's how it works:** when purchasing or issuing a new gift card selecting the date as of **today**, it will be delivered **immediately**. When selecting a **date in the future**, it will be delivered on that date at **9 AM**, according to the timezone you have set.

For instance, if you have set your timezone as EST, scheduled gift cards will be delivered at 9 AM EST on the day scheduled. See [Setting your timezone](https://support.govalo.com/en/article/setting-your-timezone-mrjlyl/) for how to set your timezone in Govalo.
